Michael Lee Corn

Raleigh, North Carolina – Michael Lee Corn, 60, formerly of Savannah, died March 11, 2009 at Rex Health after a short illness. He was born in Oceanside, California, son of Fred Bise Corn and Leola Launceford Corn. He received a BA of Economics from the University of Notre Dame in 1970 and was currently vice president of Anthony Crane International a subsidiary of Maxim Crane Works, Inc. Mr. Corn lived in Savannah from 1986 until 2001 and was a former communicant of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of the Savannah Yacht Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Bise Corn.

Surviving are his wife, Leslie J. Corn; daughter, Melissa Corn Liner and her husband, Jason M. Liner; son, Matthew M. Corn and his wife, Jennifer L. Corn; mother, Leola Launceford Corn; sister, Patricia Corn Andre and her husband, Richard A. Andre;
grandchildren, Trevor Bise Corn, Chase M. Liner; nieces, Jennifer A. Bader and her husband, Bert Bader; Kimberly A. Dillard and her husband, Peter Dillard; grandniece, Samantha Bader, grandnephews, Ethan and Finn Dillard; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Laurence D. and Jane F. Palmisano.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 19, 2009 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Wilmington Island.

Burial: Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery
